Experienced in the spirits industry, providing consulting and conducting numerous tastings, pairings and master classes on rum and other spirits.
In 2023, he became an Ambassador for the Miami Rum Congress, and in 2024, he became a distinguished Sugarcane Member of Rare Spirits Society.

Tasting the Elephant Forest Rum Barrel
My turn to taste again the rum from the barrel we left aging in the Kulen Elephant Forest in Cambodia.
Deep amber color with darker hues, and an elegant profile with citrus, orange peel, vanilla and oak.
A subtle leathery note adds another layer to this jungle-aged rum.
Next stop: Koh Rong Island.

After opening the barrel in the Kulen Elephant Forest, Solveiga shares her first tasting impressions.
Notes of orange peel and cinnamon, balanced between spice and sweetness, with a rounded profile and a lovely finish.

While opening our rum barrel in the Kulen Elephant Forest in Cambodia, we offered a taste to one of the local team.
He happily accepted — and finished the whole glass.
Safe to say the rum passed the local approval test.

For the past 2.5 years our rum barrel aged in the Kulen Elephant Forest in Cambodia.
Surrounded by jungle and elephants.
We visited one of the quiet guardians of the barrel, enjoying sugarcane — the very plant that begins the journey to rum.
